Messenger services such as WhatsApp have become an integral part of everyday life - both privately and professionally. Sending a message quickly is extremely practical and saves time; a snapshot often saves long explanations.
We have therefore expanded our Bütema InStore Assistant app and the Digital Signage Backstore with a Communication Center , which allows messages and documents to be sent as an intuitive chat.
1-to-1, group and OrgUnit* chats can be created. The first two variants are known from common messengers; the latter offers the possibility of automatically creating and managing group chats with all users of the configured OrgUnit. A chat like that would be for all employees in a branch, into which new employees are automatically added.
The chat dialog has all the functions of a modern messenger service: text messages, media (from the saved files or a directly taken photo), and documents such as PDFs can be sent . File types that are not included by default can easily be re-implemented by our developers.
Another special feature of the Bütema Communication Center is that application and process information can be sent as special chat messages . From such chat messages, you can jump directly back to the (ISA) process. An application example for this would be that a saleswoman in the retail area asks the colleague in the warehouse via the chat function for a blouse that a customer wants. The seller can either send the article directly from the detail view or scan the barcode of the article from the chat. The article then appears as a quick view in the chat. A "more ..." function next to the message can be used to jump to the article detail page, to re-share the article (into another chat), or to put it directly into the ISA shopping cart.
*OrgUnit stands for organizational unit; it primarily regulates access hierarchies and rights. For example, all branches of a branch manager or all branches in a state are assigned to an OrgUnit. OrgUnits can be created and equipped as required by the customer.
